This course is designed to help students further their degree of proficiency in the four basic skills- listening, speaking, reading and writing. A focus on spontaneity in communicating ideas to others and responding to conversation stimuli will be paramount. The grammatical foundation will be strengthened and expanded, as new verb tenses will enable them to express themselves in different times of reference. The history of Spanish speaking countries, reading selections and films will be included to enhance cultural references and parallel cultures. Language la activities will be used in order to develop oral and auditory proficiency in the target language. Group work and paired activities are highly encouraged. Oral presentations are also used throughout the course. Ancillary materials are used for further language development and independent practice.
